Α way of teaching basic traffic education to young children is to create a miniature traffic education park. Children, using toys of similar size (such as cars, people, motorcycles, etc.), can move in the park following the Road Traffic Code, while traffic signals are explained by the teacher at the same time.
Consequently, children are encouraged to create stories and organize role-playing games (eg "the driver who returns home and heads to the parking lot ...", "the student who goes to school and crosses the crosswalk". .. "etc). Also, the park can be adapted or rearranged according to the interests of the children (eg addition of a road leading to a school and placement of a school building, addition of a hill - ski resort, etc.).

Construction steps
Print traffic signals from the internet (make sure that the images have the same size and the same resolution), cut them and laminate them.
|
Pieces of a wood plank |
Take a thin wood plank and cut it with a saw into small square pieces that will be used as a support base for the traffic signals.
- Glue the laminated traffic signals to the edge of wooden straws (with a hot silicone gun), and then glue them to the wooden bases you cut (it is recommended to drill a hole in the center of each wooden base, diameter equal to that of the straws, so that achieve more stable fastening).
- Cut paper roads, parking lots, squares, etc., and glue these pieces together. Put the construction on the floor and place the traffic signals accordingly. The traffic education park is ready!
